Family Halaqah

A gathering that aims to bring together and strengthen the social ties and Islamic brotherhood among Muslim families from Indonesia residing in the Toronto area. This halaqah provides a platform for families to connect, engage, and build meaningful relationships within their community. In addition to fostering social bonds, the halaqah focuses on studying religious knowledge by inviting local imams as well as imams from Indonesia to share their wisdom and expertise. This enables participants to deepen their understanding of Islam and its teachings. Furthermore, the halaqah encourages the sharing of general knowledge through organized sessions, allowing individuals to contribute their expertise and insights on various subjects. By encompassing social interaction, religious education, and knowledge sharing, the MIIT monthly family halaqah plays a vital role in nurturing a sense of belonging, fostering religious growth, and promoting intellectual development among Indonesian Muslim families in Toronto.

Youth & Kids Halaqah

Offers a diverse range of activities tailored to engage and educate children and youth. Our online storytelling sessions, designed for children aged 4 to 12 years old, bring the joy of Islamic stories to life through captivating narration by MIIT sisters. These interactive sessions take place twice a month via Zoom classes, creating a virtual platform for children to connect and enjoy the stories together. Alongside storytelling, we provide opportunities for children to learn the art of reading the Quran, nurturing their connection with the holy book. Additionally, we offer both online and in-person halaqah sessions, catering to the diverse needs and preferences of our participants. Furthermore, our youth camp provides a holistic experience where young individuals can bond, learn, and grow spiritually in a supportive environment.
